Kari & Michael

I had the privilege of photographing one of my old childhood friends, Kari and her fiance, Michael. They were such a great couple to work with...very easy to direct, in fact, they didn't need much direction at all! They were naturals! I've posted a couple favorites from the shoot, although it was really hard to choose! I had fun with some of my new actions that I got for Photoshop as well! (Don't worry, for those who like a little more "traditional" look, I have those as well)

The Guests

On Sunday, I had the privilege of meeting the beautiful Guest family. Little Mason Andrew was born January 11, and cute as can be! The session went well and Mason couldn't have been more cooperative! Here are some of my favorite pictures of the session....

Lilly

While I had my camera out to take pictures of my bouqet, I figured I'd take a few pictures of our sweet puppy, Lilly. She's 8 months old, and despite her small size, she's supposed to be a shepherd/lab mix. Although, we believe there is some Chihuahua in her because both shepherds and labs are not less than 30 lbs, which she is. Frankly, though, I'm surprised she let me take these pictures. She's usually terrified of my camera, I have no idea why :)


Isn't she sweet? We think so...but we're also a little biased and proud parents :) She even had a cute Vera Bradley collar that matched the house, but we had to get rid of it because it wasn't the most practical on a leash...we lost her tags because of it. But she looked so good, and that's all that matters :) Just kidding...

Valentine's Day

So I have a really sweet husband. On Valentine's Day, a gorgeous bouquet of red tulips and purple irises showed up at my work. It was quite a sweet surprise and made my day in such a way that all I could do was smile the rest of the day. And leave it up to me to take a few pictures of my bouquet. I know I'm a dork, but I just wanted to share how beautiful it was (and still is...it continues to get prettier every day as the flowers open up!). I just love that man....thank you Matthew!





Part of our Valentine's date, we went to see "Music & lyrics" with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. It was a very cute and witty movie, as all Hugh Grant movies are (my personal opinion). We really enjoyed it! Although there are a few shocking scenes, it makes for a great date movie. It's also a commentary on Britney Spears, which is quite funny, but also sad because it's true. Anyways, despite that, you should see it because it is really cute.

New name...new look

Ok, so the domain name has not changed yet, but the transition from LCRobbins Photography to Leah Robbins Photography has officially begun! Check out the new look to my website! (Ok, so it's only a few changes, but hey, it's a start!)

Hopefully, the new domain name will come about soon as well, so be on the lookout for that as well.

On a different note, we're expecting a huge snow/ice storm tonight, so let's all wear our PJs inside out and hope for a snow day. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot, I'm not in high school anymore. There are no more snow days. Ok, well then let's just hope for a 2-hr delay. Won't that be nice :)

Hailey's 1st Birthday

Matthew and I attended our niece's 1 yr birthday party about a week after Baron's. Due to time issues (probably more like time management issues), I'm just now getting to post some of my favorite pictures from the day.







We had a lot of fun celebrating both Baron and Hailey's birthday in the same week! What a blessing to have a niece and a nephew living so close and to be the same age!!

More logos

Ok, so instead of getting things done around the house, I played around with my new logos and came up with a few extra options. This is so typical...instead of being productive with my free time, I spend time playing on Photoshop!! I love my life :)

Side Note:
I forgot to put this up the other day, but GO COLTS!!! I think I've decided that the Colts are now my favorite NFL team over the Bengals. I just have a really hard time giving my full support to a team that spends more time in jail than on a practice field. But I can support a team whose coach gives the glory to God after a big win....I'm jumping on the bandwagon and I don't care! GO COLTS!!

The new name

I am in the process of updating my business name. I will soon be operating under the new name, Leah Robbins Photography, instead of LCRobbins Photography, like you see on my website and such. The transition takes some time and a lot of updates, so if you see any inconsistencies, that's why. I have a new logo and would like some opinions. So let me know what you think!
I'll keep you updated for when my name is officially changed, such as for my website and all.

Baron's Birthday

My nephew, Baron, turned 1 on January 17th. We had the privilege of celebrating his birthday this past Sunday, and it was great fun seeing him eat his first cake!! Here are some of my favorites from his party....






Hailey, our niece, also turned 1 on the same day, Jan. 17th. Let's just say that date a year ago was a pretty crazy day for Matthew and I. They weren't even at the same hospital!
Her party was yesterday, Saturday, so hopefully some of those pictures will be up soon.

Meet the Barton's

Ok, so I promised some pictures from my latest wedding. By looking at the pictures, you wouldn't believe that it was December 23! We had gorgeous weather for the day, which gave us great opportunities for pictures.

After much anticipation, they are finally up! And as always, I have a few favorites, although it was hard to pick because Tiffany and Daniel just looked so darn good that day!! And they looked so happy, which made my job VERY easy. Check them out.....

Happy New Year

Well, so much has happened since I last posted. I really need to learn to keep up with a blog!! Anyways, things have been crazy with all the Holiday festivities, as everyone is well aware of. From family, to traveling, to shopping, things have been nonstop!

My brother and his family have been in town for the last week and a half, which as been great. Seeing their 4 kids was such a joy! And Diana, my sister-in-law, who is a photographer herself down in Chattanooga, has been filling my brain with new ideas, information, and encouraging me in my business, which is great info to pass on.

I recently became a Mac girl and purchased my first MacBook Pro laptop. I am super excited about my new purchase and getting into all the fun ways it can enhance my photography. It was quite a surprise coming home and finding my computer completely crashed!! (My Dell, that is). But bad things happen for a reason, and now I have a cool new Mac. :)

I recently did a wedding in Lake City, TN of my old college roommate, Tiffany. Check back for pictures from that wedding.

David & Alishia's Wedding

On October 21, Matthew and I headed to Frankfort, KY for his cousin's wedding. I had the privilege of photographing the wedding and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day or setting. We had a really good time. Besides, I always have a good time when I get to take pictures AND dance at the reception. It was a good day. :)

On Saturday, I got to spend time with a great couple, Ryan and Casey, to photograph their engagement pictures. We had the session at Sharon Woods and the setting couldn't have been more perfect! Here are just some of my favorite pics from the day...

I'm an aunt!!

I'm an aunt again!! Welcome to the world, Steven Satchel Simpson!! He was born today to my brother, Todd, and his wife, Diana in Chattanooga, TN. I don't have pictures yet, in fact, I haven't seen him yet. But I do know he is 6lbs 12oz with red hair!! Check back to see how the new family is doing and to see cute pictures!
