Andrew & Darci

Without further ado, I present to you Andrew & Darci's wedding!! I shot this wedding a couple weeks ago in LaFayette, IN. You wouldn't know it from the pictures, but it was a rough day as far as weather in the beginning, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!! Darci looked gorgeous in her gown, which was very simple - I absolutely loved it! Andrew also has the sweetest little boy - Matthew. He was so adorable and perfectly behaved all day! I wanted to take him home with me :)

The couple left the ceremony in a green old fashioned car, something I wish I had done for my own wedding. I love all the little details in weddings, including the cars! I, then, headed over to the Purdue indoor field with the couple to do a few shots there. It was a lot of fun! :)

Here are just a few of my favorites, and their slideshow is coming soon!

Congratulations on your marriage! Thank you for having me as a part of your day!

It's a boy!!

Matthew and I had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday, which confirmed my motherly intuition - it's a BOY!!! Our son is set to arrive December 12, but according to the ultrasound, that may be moved up to December 4. He's measuring 10.5 in and 13 oz right now, and cute as can be! He was an active little fellow during the ultrasound, which was absolutely AMAZING to see! I loved all his little movements and can't wait until I'm feeling them all the time!

I can't tell you what a blessing the pregnancy has been to Matthew and I. For one, it has been a fairly easy pregnancy, which makes my life (and Matthew's for that matter) much easier. But secondly, and more importantly, it's amazing to see God work in this little miracle's life. We haven't even met him yet, and already God is showing us His grace and love towards us. He has blessed us so much by giving us this child. I can't wait to meet him!!

Here are just a couple of the pictures from our ultrasound...

His profile... He's got that Robbins' nose!

He posed his little feet so perfectly! Definitely my child....I will be taking LOTS of pictures of those feet. :)
And here is a quick picture of my baby bump at 18.5 weeks. I've already grown more since this picture, but hey, at least I can say I'm starting to look pregnant now instead of just large :)

The Dark Knight

Ok, so I don't typically post too many things like this, but this movie deserves a post. Matthew and I went to go see The Dark Knight the day it opened, nervous it wouldn't live up to the hype. Yeah, it exceeded the hype. It was FANTASTIC! Heath Ledger did a superb job in playing the Joker, a role he was meant to play. It's just a shame that we are finally seeing his potential in acting and we won't have the pleasure of seeing him continue his career. Although, I've always thought he was a good actor - ever since 10 Things I Hate About You - but this movie is far from 10 Things.

And let's not forget about Christian Bale, the best actor to ever play Batman. I almost feel bad for the guy since Heath is getting all the attention on this movie (although deservedly so). The Batman movies have come a long way, away from the comic book feel they once had. This movie was so good that Matthew and I almost went back on Sunday to see it again! (Something we would never do considering we put ourselves on a movie budget) :)

Matthew has a great post on his review of the movie which fits my review, so instead of writing that out, I'm just going to let you go read it for yourself! So go read it - http://chosenforgrace.blogspot.com/2008/07/dark-knight.html

Coming soon...

Over the weekend, Matthew and I traveled to West LaFayette, IN for Andrew and Darci's wedding. It was fun getting out of Cincinnati for the weekend and photograph in a new place! The day started out very ominous, with a torrential downpour on my way to meet the bride, but by the time it mattered, the sky cleared up, and we had sun and blue skies the rest of the day! It was fantastic! Andrew and Darci were great to work with and such a cute couple. I took a lot of pictures because of this, so you're going to have to wait to see my favorites! But check back soon for their slideshow and pictures!

I did get a little spoiled having Matthew with me for the day. He doesn't shoot much, but it doesn't matter (especially since I shoot enough for 3 people!). He's great at assisting with lighting, equipment, and it's always great having the company and moral support! And, he's got a great eye on him with some great ideas, so maybe I should let him shoot more? Hmmm.....

The Behrmann Family

A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the Behrmann kids. With ages ranging from almost 2 to 8, it was definitely a challenge! But they were so cute and so great to work with. In fact, they were even giving me their own ideas of how they wanted to be posed, especially Carter, the oldest boy. Can I say future photographer? :)

Here are a few of my favorites as well as their slideshow. Enjoy!

beth & patrick

On Saturday, June 21st, I had the honor of shooting Beth & Patrick's wedding. We had a lot of fun shooting in many different locations. This wedding was so much fun that I ended up taking my record number of pictures (I won't tell you how many - it'll just make you sick) :) Beth and Patrick were so great to work with! You may recognize them from my engagement guest book - they were my sample Miami couple :)

The reception was held at Paul Brown Stadium, which definitely contributed to my extra amount of pictures. The wedding party and I were able to head out onto the field and do some really fun stuff out there. Everyone was having so much fun, that we almost decided to skip the reception and play on the field the whole night! But fortunately for Beth and Patrick, it started to rain (after we had done all the pictures), which forced us to go inside and finish out the reception :)

I had so many favorites from this wedding, it was really hard to narrow down. I also discovered a new way to format my blog, so I hope you enjoy the new look! Here are a few (ok, a lot) of my favorites, and I will post their slideshow soon! Enjoy!

Beth and Patrick - thank you for letting me share in your special day and for getting me the VIP pass onto the Bengals' field! :)
